Books glorious books. I've a flat bulging at the seams due to my
love of them and now I'm going to have a book emblazoned with my own name on
it. Back in November, I was approached by one of the commissioning editors at
Wiley about writing for them. I'd already taken on the 3rd edition of their
hugely successful 'iPad For The Older And Wiser' title and enjoyed the
experience. This time, rather than being co-author, I'll be going it
alone.
I wasn't allowed to reveal the details of what I was writing when the
project was first agreed. It was under wraps for a couple of reasons: it’s
a new title for Wiley and they’re rightly proud (and a little bit nervous)
about putting out something different. The second reason is that it’s a project
with Tesco, for which it will be a first ever publication. Tesco is getting
into books in a big way and is busy building its own digital bookstore, set for
launch in spring 2014. This book, Hudl For Dummies, will be published around
the same time.
